ACQUISITIONS

Are you someone who needs to bridge a gap in your collection, develop it in a new direction or build it from scratch?  RJ Fine Art can guide you.  We will discover your interests and make suggestions that suit your goals.  As part of the process, we will consider pieces you already own and suggest ways to create depth in less developed areas to make your collection more cohesive. Then we investigate offerings on the primary and secondary market to locate the right pieces to fill in gaps or expand your collection in a new direction.  Our goal is to help you make an informed choice.

COLLECTION MANAGEMENT

If you have a collection, do you have proper documentation?  Is the information recorded on a database?  Is it in storage or displayed in a place that will maintain its material integrity?  Is it properly insured to guard against a loss event?  You must have good record keeping, proper storage, correct display and adequate insurance coverage that will maintain the art's integrity.  You may also need conservation on pieces showing signs of distress, something RJ Fine Art can coordinate.  Artwork needs proper care and maintenance, which also includes proper insurance coverage to protect against the unexpected whether in your home or in transit.  We can help catalogue your collection as well as make sure your artwork is protected.

"Art objects are inanimate sad bits of matter hanging in the dark when no one is looking. The artist only does half the work; the viewer has to come up with the rest, and it is by empowering the viewer that the miracle of art gains its force." - Vik Muniz
